Hi there!
I'm Shasta. A seasmtress, designer and educator working 0n the beautiful Lək̓ʷəŋən speaking territory also know as Victoria, BC. I landed on the Island after may years of seeking a wonderful and weird community that I could call my own.
My journey in design began in 2020 at the Blanche MacDonald Centre in Vancouver, BC, where I graduated with a Diploma in Fashion Design. My education lead me to many fantastic opportunities working for, with, and around other artists and business people, getting my hands dirty in every job this industry has to offer.
At the start of 2025, I took on a job teaching mending workshops out of the Ecologyst store in downtown Victoria. I quickly fell in love with education, mending, and the community of learners in the city. I expanded mending nights to also be offered in Fernwood Square, and continue to add new educational opportunities to my offerings.

My sewing practise has since shifted to focus heavily on repair and reuse. In addition to workshops, I upcycle pieces destined for landfill, and offer repair and alteration services to help keep treasured garments in people's wardrobes longer!

I hope you will join in me some capacity as the journey continues to unfold <3
